eToro connects to Viktury with a file. You download your account statement from eToro as an Excel file and upload it. Viktury reads the file once, and nothing about it needs an API key or a password.
Everything below happens on eToro's website in a browser.
Download your account statement
-
Open eToro in a browser and set the language to English first. Viktury reads the statement by its English headings, and a file in another language is refused.
-
Open Portfolio, then History.
-
Click the gear icon and choose Account Statement.
-
Choose the full date range, from the day you opened the account to today. A shorter range works too, but Viktury can only show what the file covers.
-
Click the Excel icon. eToro downloads a file ending in
.xlsx. Upload it as eToro gave it to you.
Add it to Viktury
Choose eToro on the Add account screen, give the account a name and upload the .xlsx file as it is. Viktury checks the whole file before it imports anything. If something in it cannot be read, you get one sentence that says what, and nothing is imported.
What we import
- Stock, ETF and crypto trades, paired up by eToro's own position number so each close lines up with the position it closed.
- CFD and leveraged trades, shown with their leverage, for example "NVDA (CFD, x5)".
- Overnight and weekend fees, dividends, interest and staking income.
- Deposits and withdrawals.
- Your open positions.
Each closed trade is checked against the profit eToro states for it. A trade that does not match shows as still checking and stays out of your totals until it does.
Options and futures are counted in your balance, but their trades are not shown yet. Viktury tells you when your file has any.
Trades you copied
If you copy other traders on eToro, those trades are in your statement too. Viktury keeps them out of your own statistics by default, so your win rate and totals describe what you chose to trade. A setting on your profile lets you include them.
Keeping it up to date
A statement is a snapshot. To bring the account up to date, download a new one and upload it. A newer or overlapping file adds only the rows that are new, so uploading the same period twice does nothing. Each account shows the date its latest statement runs through.
Troubleshooting
- The file is refused as not English. Set eToro's language to English, download the statement again and upload that one.
- A row type is not recognised. Viktury stops rather than guess, and names the type it could not read. Nothing is imported.
- A position held before the statement starts is missing. Download a statement that begins earlier, ideally from the day you opened the account.
- A trade says still checking. Its profit did not match eToro's figure, or the file does not cover the whole position. A longer date range usually settles it.
