Correct Inflation Figures on the Economic Calendar
Year over year readings on the economic calendar were comparing against the wrong month, and now compare against the right one.
A correction on the economic calendar.
Year over year readings compare the right month. When a month goes unpublished, the comparison slipped to the wrong one, so recent CPI readings ran a few tenths of a point high. They now match on the calendar month itself.
The previous column carries the same measure. It was showing a month over month change next to a year over year reading. It now shows the prior month's reading of the same measure.
Month over month rows are fixed too. They shared the flaw, and could stretch across two months when one went unpublished.
When a month was never published, the calendar leaves the comparison blank instead of working one out against the wrong month.
